Introduction to manuscript, biography and Christian poetry style

Abstract

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: One of the powerful poets of the Safavid era, at the same time as Sultan Muhammad Khodabandeh, is a poet named Masihi, who, based on his poems, was first a Christian and then converted to Islam. His poems have not been studied from the point of view of stylistics; Therefore, the main goal of this research is to investigate and analyze the stylistic elements and components of his poems so that the readers can get acquainted with the life, personality and stylistic characteristics of his poems in the linguistic, literary and intellectual fields.

METHODOLOGY: The prospective research, a theoretical study, was conducted with a library method and analytical-descriptive method. The studied community is the manuscript of the Divan of Masihi Poems with more than 1130 lines of poetry, numbered 3-4953, available in the Astan Quds Razavi library.

FINDINGS: Masihi , under the influence of political and social factors of their era, used the calm and romantic weights of Hazaj, the passionate and passionate mystical weights of Ramel, and the soft and heavy weights in the meaning of flock and complaint, the rows are simple, singular and more current. Is. Unlike old Persian words, Arabic words have a high frequency; At the literary level, all kinds of similes and metaphors, allusions, imitations, and repetitions are characteristic of style; Intellectually, romantic, educational and mystical themes are evident and distinct.

CONCLUSION: Examining the manuscript of Diwan Mashii showed that the poet has musicalized his poems in three areas of language, literature and thought under the influence of Iraqi style and with various weights, lines and rhymes. The high frequency of words related to Masihi is one of the lexical features of his poems; Image creation in the form of parables and other literary arrays such as hints, parables, allusions, romantic themes and romantic, mystical and educational themes are one of the dominant features of Masihi poems.
